Disney Princesses-Pic Heavy

My best friend bought tickets for my little guy to go see Disney Princesses on Ice yesterday and I tagged along because I didn't want to miss the excitement in my boys face. He is almost 4 and he loves princesses, his favoraite is Ariel, he says she is beautiful and her singing is beautiful too. We kept it a secret from him until she got to our house so we could leave, when she told him where we were going he got so excited there was a tremble in his voice and he ran around the house yelling I'm going to see the princesses. Once we were there he got his treats, and looked around in wonder at everything and all the little girls in their princess dresses. We headed for the stadium to our seats and he froze at the entrance to our section, I don't want to go in there mommy. WHAT!!! why not sweetheart? I asked him calmly, "because I don't want to see Ursula the mean octopus." Oh dear, I guess I made a mistake trying to prepare him alittle by telling him that she would be in the show. I walked with him a little bit and finally convinced him is was okay to go in. Once the show started he covered his ears and closed his eyes and clung to my best friend and then me for about the first half hour of the show until Ursula and all the scary people were gone. He finally opened his eyes for Snowhite and the dwarfs, and he was mesmerized for the rest of the show. It was a great time and most of all Joel loved seeing his beloved princesses for real!!

I was in the kitchen cleaning up after supper and I heard this beautiful giggling coming from the living room so I peak in and this is what I see. Of course out comes the camera, I just wish it could have captured the giggles.

Sophia got this little tea set from my brother and his family this Christmas and she loves it!! The teapot sings, counts and sounds like boiling water etc. She just can't get enough of it! It is so cute to watch her play with it.

My husband bought these for me for Valentines day and they were all pretty much closed and are now opening up wonderfully. The funny thing about these is that I had asked him if he was going to get me flowers I would love for him to get me Tulips. I love Tulips. So when I woke up on Valentine morning these Lilies were sitting in a crystal vase on the table with a card. I have to admit my heart sank, I know that sounds terrible but my immediate thought was how could he forget that I wanted Tulips I felt like he just didn't listen and that hurt. It wasn't even about the flowers really. So a little while later he wakes up and comes into the kitchen we exchange good mornings and I reluctantly say thanks for the flowers. He smiles this big smile and says, I'm so glad you like your TULIPS....I gave him a big kiss, he did listen, he thought they were right and thats all that matters.
A couple of days later he came home with these.

Cake

Today while Sophia was asleep, Joel and I baked a cake. He loves getting in the kitchen with me and cooking. I need to learn to be more patient with him, learn to not worry about the mess or the stains on his clothes and just have fun. I did pretty good with that today and it was a special time with my boy. He is growing up way too fast and before I know it he won't want to cook with me anymore.
