Joel was so excited to give me his mother's day gift that he made me at daycare. He proudly walked me to his cubby at daycare when I picked him up yesterday and showed me this beautifully tissue wrapped bundle. He promplty told me that I could not open it until we were all on the couch together at home. That's exactly what we did and he was so proud to tell me how he had painted the pot and planted the flowers. He asked me if I liked it, when I said it was the best present ever he was quite happy!
The things inside the card that he Thanked me for remind me that with children it really is the simple things and the time we spend with them that they remember.
